My Yoga Story

I had been a company Director for a Training Provider of Govt funded projects in Basic Skills and Employability for about 10 years when I decided I wanted to change course and do something different and less stressful.  I was literally sitting in my office one day and started writing a list of what I loved doing and the things I loved to do as a child (as this was suggested to me in a book to highlight your true passions in life).  As a young girl I loved gymnastics and dance.  I hated the competition side but loved the community and the way the exercise and stretching made me feel in my body.  As an adult, I loved the yoga classes at my gym and in my role at that time I had loved teaching but growth in the business had taken me away from teaching and more into the corporate world and financial side of the business.

It became clear that my perfect career move would be to teach yoga, and that’s where it all began.  That was nearly 10 years ago and I’m very pleased I made that difficult decision to close the company and try something new.  My life these days is very different.  I spend my day surrounded by wonderful, positive people, sharing and inspiring yogis in their personal journeys.  I have time with the family and to walk my lovely dog everyday.  My body is in the best health and I feel younger and stronger than I did a decade ago.

My passion for teaching has lead me to train other Yoga teachers now to join this amazing profession, and I couldn’t be more pleased to have developed a programme that can help others realise their own dream.
